Our Story

Welcome to M.Gregio.

My name is Michele Gregio. I was born in Brazil and have called the UK home since 2020.

Creativity and craftsmanship have always been part of my life. Over the years, I made my own bracelets and embroidered blouses and dresses with beads. Although I loved creating these pieces, I always felt that I wanted to take my craft further and create something truly distinctive.

I have also been passionate about handbags for as long as I can remember, although the idea of making one entirely from beads had never crossed my mind.

That changed during a break in one of my English classes. My teacher mentioned that she was attending a wedding and had been searching everywhere for a unique orange handbag, but could not find the right one. Her words stayed with me, and when I arrived home, I began researching and experimenting with the idea of creating a bag especially for her.

The result was my very first beaded bag. I gave it to her as a gift because she is a wonderful person, and creating something unique for her felt incredibly meaningful. Soon afterwards, her friends began asking where the bag had come from and who had made it.

That single bag became the beginning of M.Gregio.

Today, every piece is handcrafted by me, bead by bead, with patience, precision and genuine care. Each design reflects my Brazilian creativity and the life I have built in the UK, resulting in distinctive pieces created to be admired, treasured and enjoyed.

For me, beadwork is more than a technique. It is a true labour of love, and every piece carries the time, dedication and story behind its creation.
